Our Program

The evolution of J.B. Livestock company stems from the purchase of 50 registered Simmental cows that my father and grandfather made 23 years ago.

cabin Prior to that point our farm was primarily focused on cereal crop production, commercial cattle and a handful of milking Holsteins. Your typical family farm.

The Simmental cattle grazing on our native pastures made a significant impact on our herd, our objectives in the beef business and especially on me.

I have been fascinated with this breed of cattle and the purebred cattle industry from a very young age. For me, the decision to dedicate my efforts solely to the purebred Simmental industry was a natural one.

Over the past fifteen years, I have been studying, listening and learning with one objective in mind... to build the greatest herd of Fleckvieh/Simmental cattle that I can with the resources that I have available. Our self-sustained family farm accommodates our vision to pursue this goal.

Detailed knowledge of the genetic lineage of our seedstock has been a major stepping stone in the development of our herd of breeding stock and in turn the acceptance of our product in the market place.

At J.B. Livestock Company, we have chosen to specialize in the production of 100% Fleckvieh and heavily Fleckvieh influenced cattle. Our product line is specific, however the market for our seed stock is diverse.

We are fortunate to have developed a strong commercial bull market with many repeat clientele and are honored to have sold breeding stock, semen and embryos world wide. Our cattle are merchandised by private treaty and also at our annual production sale held in Calgary, Ab, Canada.

We welcome your inquiries.
