Our cowherd is comprised of 140 head of 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood
and high percentage Fleckvieh Fullblood and Purebred females.
In addition to the replacement females retained we have made several acquisitions from other herds over the years to enhance the quality of our own program.
Many high sellers and feature females from several well known
breeding programs now reside in the pastures at J.B. Livestock
Company.
We will not lose sight of the maternal traits in our females. We appreciate brood cows with volume, femininity, soundness, fertility, longevity, trouble free udders and adequate milk supply. Like the selection of our herd sires, the link to prominent cow families is of great importance to us.
Embryo transplant plays an extensive role at J.B. Livestock
Company. We believe in replenishing our cowherd with our most
accomplished genetics.
Always a work in progress, we are constantly striving to improve. At times a challenge but a task well rewarded.
Embryos from many of our donor females are available throughout the year.
