The first 100% Fleckvieh calves born at J.B. Livestock Company were the result of embryos implanted from three outstanding Fleckvieh donor cows owned by Reuben Mapletoft. This trilogy of Fleckvieh power consisted of SAO C & B Lady 66R, CET MS Monet 92S and SRN MS Bold 80U.
Transplanted extensively, all three cows became widely recognized in both North and South America for the strength and acceptance of their progeny. Famous names like Day 12 O'Clock High SRN Bold Arnold 1X and JB Doctor Duke 442D as well as numerous other high selling and productive males and females are all a credit to these prolific producers. Considering the positive impact these breed builders made on our operation it was an easy decision to continue working with these females through transplant for a number of years and then finally retire them in their autumn years. The only embryos that remain from the 'trilogy' are a handful of those from SRN MS Bold 80U, a direct daughter of Bold that defined muscle and capacity. 80U did produce SRN Bold Arnold 1X and
JB Hombre 42H but Reuben still describes her as "The best kept secret in the industry".
